MOVE Santa Barbara County empowers, educates and advocates
for people who walk, bike and take public transit.
We thank our sponsors The Shoemaker Family Fund and LEAP Central Coast, and our wonderful volunteers for their support of ‘Iluminando La Noche‘, as we installed over 670 free rechargeable bike lights countywide for bicyclists who needed them for safer night and early morning riding.

Our purpose is to advocate for equitable county-wide infrastructure for walking, cycling, and public transit and to empower and educate residents to choose active and sustainable forms of transportation.

Our programs to bring bike and pedestrian safety skills to our adult communities, as well as how to get involved in transit advocacy.
Our community spaces for bike repair, purchasing a new-to-you bike, or learning bike maintenance skills.
Our programs to engage SB County youth in bike/pedestrian safety and get kids rolling and moving.
